Spin the Wheel

Updated July 2026

A free random picker wheel. Type your options into the box — one per line — then press Spin and watch the wheel land on one at random. Great for raffles, group decisions, and breaking ties. Everything runs privately in your browser.

Enter a list of options, spin the wheel, and it randomly lands on one — great for picking a winner, deciding what to eat, or choosing who goes first. Runs entirely in your browser.
Add two or more options. The wheel rebuilds automatically as you type.

    How this spinner wheel works

The wheel turns whatever list you type into a colored pie chart — one slice per option, sized equally. When you press Spin, the wheel speeds up and then eases to a stop at a randomly chosen angle. A fixed pointer at the top marks the winning slice, and the result is announced below the wheel.

Each spin is independent. The landing angle comes from your browser's built-in random number generator, so two equal slices always have an equal chance of being chosen — there is no weighting and nothing is decided in advance. Edit the list at any time and the wheel rebuilds itself instantly.

Worked example: with four names on the wheel — Ana, Ben, Cleo and Dev — each slice covers 90° (360° ÷ 4). If a spin stops with the pointer at 200° from the top, that falls inside the third slice, so Cleo wins. Turn on Remove winner after spin and Cleo drops off, leaving three 120° slices for the next draw.

Usage note: two or more options are needed to spin. Very long lists make slices and labels thin, so trim to the names you actually want in the draw for the clearest read.

    Frequently asked questions

How does the spinner wheel work?
Type your options into the box, one per line. The wheel draws a colored slice for each one. Press Spin and it eases to a stop at a random angle; the slice under the fixed pointer at the top is announced as the winner.
Is the wheel result random / fair?
Yes. The stopping angle uses your browser's built-in random number generator (Math.random), so every spin is independent and each equal-sized slice has an equal chance of winning. Nothing is weighted or pre-decided.
How many options can I add?
As many as you like — one per line, with at least two needed to spin. Very long lists make the slices and labels thin, so up to a few dozen options reads best.
Can I use it to pick a giveaway winner?
Yes. Paste each entrant's name on its own line and spin to pick a winner at random. Spin again for runners-up, or use "Remove winner after spin" so each name is picked only once.
Can I remove an option after it's picked?
Yes. Tick "Remove winner after spin" and the winning option is taken off the wheel automatically — handy for drawing several winners or setting a random order.
    Is anything stored or uploaded?
No. The wheel runs entirely in your browser. Your options and results are never sent to a server, saved, or shared.
